Bracewell Shines in Chambers USA 2024

HOUSTON – Bracewell LLP’s market leadership and reputation for advising clients on complex transactional, regulatory and litigation matters across industries was once again recognized in Chambers USA. Bracewell received 134 practice and individual rankings in the 2024 edition, including Nationwide Band 1 rankings in Oil & Gas (Regulatory & Litigation) and Offshore Energy. Bracewell also received Band 1 rankings in Texas Banking and Finance, Texas Public Finance and Texas Environment.

2024 marks the 10th consecutive year that Bracewell’s oil and gas regulatory practice has earned a nationwide Band 1 ranking. According to Chambers, Bracewell is a “leading firm with highly impressive expertise across the energy arena” that is “frequently seen on big-ticket transactions in both the power and the oil and gas space.”

For the second year in a row, Bracewell earned a nationwide Band 1 ranking in Offshore Energy. “Bracewell is among the best nationwide when it comes to renewable energy and offshore wind,” one client told Chambers. “They combine commercial awareness with subject matter specialist skill.”

Bracewell also earned nationwide practice rankings in Electricity Finance, Electricity Regulatory and Litigation, Electricity Transactional, Energy Transition, Oil & Gas Litigation, Oil & Gas Projects, Oil & Gas Transactional and Power & Renewables Projects: Transactional.

In recognition of the firm’s sustained excellence across the energy spectrum, Bracewell has been named an Energy & Projects Law Firm of the Year finalist at the upcoming Chambers USA Awards, which will be announced on June 13.

Chambers USA also recognized Bracewell’s leadership in the financial community. For the 17th year in a row, Bracewell earned a Band 1 ranking in Texas Banking and Finance, a distinction that remains unmatched by any other law firm. According to the editors, Bracewell is an “outstanding Texas firm with a deep bench of finance expertise.”

In addition, Bracewell was ranked Band 1 in the new Texas Public Finance table. Chambers praised the firm’s “impressive” practice, emphasizing Bracewell’s ability to draw on a “deep bench of experienced attorneys to expertly handle financings across the full gamut of sectors including housing, transport, healthcare and education.”

For the eighth straight year, the firm received a Band 1 ranking for Texas Environment. The Chambers editors noted that Bracewell has a “high-caliber group” with “significant experience dealing with regulatory agencies and handling high-value litigation and transactions.”

Bracewell also earned nationwide practice rankings in Climate Change and Environment.

In addition to 36 practice rankings, 86 Bracewell lawyers received individual rankings in their areas of expertise, 25 of whom earned Band 1, Senior Statesperson or Eminent Practitioner recognitions. In total, 55 percent of the firm’s US partners earned Chambers USA rankings in their respective practice areas.
