About Rachel

Rachel Strickland focuses her practice on corporate and commercial matters across the energy sector, including mergers and acquisitions, project development and joint ventures. She has worked on a range of complex, cross-border projects and transactions, acting for purchasers, sellers, borrowers and lenders.

Prior to joining Bracewell, Rachel was an associate in the London office of a large international law firm where she completed a secondment at bp.

bp — strategic agreement with the Libyan Investment Authority to enhance the partnership within Libya and focused on progression of the exploration project in the Ghadames and Sirte Basin for Blocks A, B and C*

Project company — design and engineering service contract for a new build nuclear power project in Eastern Europe*

UK power joint venture — project development contracts for a green hydrogen project in the UK*

Oil major — offtake agreement and funding arrangement to develop production of renewable drop-in fuels and circular chemicals*

Investment management firm — acquisition of a US$1.1billion portfolio of non-performing loans in the UAE*
